CNet Training is proud to have helped develop the NEW structure for the Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card.
The new structure, which launched in January 2021, follows government policy which sets a benchmark for new entrants to the industry to have a Level 3 qualification but also more crucially addresses the need to recognise professionals currently in the workforce that already benefit from hands-on experience, previous education and training and industry-recognised qualifications.
Those who successfully complete the Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®), Network Cable Installer (NCI®) Apprenticeship, Certified Network Infrastructure Technician (CNIT®), the Certified Telecommunications Project Management (CTPM®) or the Certified Network Infrastructure Design Professional (CNIDP®) programs are eligible to apply for the relevant ECS card.
The new occupational qualification structure helps create clear career pathways into the industry and helps to clarify the differences in education, training and experience for those already in the industry.
