CNet Training will be delivering Certified Network Cable Installation (CNCI®) training to students at University Technical College (UTC) Warrington at the end of January as part of the students’ T Level and BTEC Computing studies. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to gain industry recognised skills and knowledge that will be directly relevant to jobs in the digital infrastructure industry and will set them up for successful careers following their studies at UTC Warrington.
Sixth Form students will undertake the two week technical education program, delivered by CNet Instructor Karl Brown, as part of their curriculum. Karl and two fellow Instructors spent time at the UTC in November 2023 building and adapting the UTC’s Cyberlab to enable the full delivery of the CNCI® program, which will teach the students to demonstrate the highest levels of knowledge, skills and competency in network cable infrastructure.
The CNCI® program has become the industry preferred certification for network cable installation and is specified as a requirement on many job profiles and installation project contracts worldwide. In addition, manufacturers, major installation companies, associations and consultants endorse the certification knowing that it provides the right level of technical knowledge, competence and confidence to the industry.
CNet champions lifelong education and consistently works to raise awareness of the diverse career opportunities that are available across the digital infrastructure industry, encompassing the network cabling and data centre sectors. This initiative is just one way in which CNet supports young people in accessing the education they need to start successful careers in the industry.
Special thanks to Tracy Sanderson McAiney, Digital Lead at UTC Warrington, who has worked with CNet to provide this opportunity for students.
