Each year, over 100 industry colleagues gather to enjoy an unrivalled day of golf that raises funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. This annual event is open to all network infrastructure and data centre professionals, and is held at the prestigious Hanbury Manor PGA Championship Course in Ware, Hertfordshire – one of the best in the world.
CNet will be entering three teams into the competition which will see four ball teams compete in a ‘best 2 from 4’ full handicap Stableford competition over 18 holes.
The origins of the Charity Golf Day go back to 2005 with the aim of raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support – a charity with an ambition to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and to inspire millions of others to do the same. The 2023 event, which was sponsored by CNet Training, COMTEC, Excel Networking, Lynchpin Media, LMG and Mills, saw 33 teams and over 120 industry professionals enjoy a great day’s golfing, which was followed by a three-course dinner, prize giving and a charity raffle – raising around £11,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in the process.
This raised the total figure since the first event to just under £100,000!
