
A recent Uptime Institute Data Centre Education and Training: Outlook for 2024 survey highlighted three main reasons when respondents were asked why their organisations invest in education and training.
When asked “Regarding your organisation, what would you say is its motivation for investing in education/training? Choose no more than two.” the three primary contributors selected were: keep up with data centre trends (43%), overall job requirements (40%), and competitive advantage (38%).
“Keeping staff skill sets up-to-date helps organisations maintain continuous data centre operations worldwide,” says Andrew Stevens, CEO of CNet Training, an Uptime Education company. “Regular education to increase the knowledge, skills, and credentials of data centre teams is of great importance to today’s mission critical facilities.”
