A recent Uptime Institute Data Center Education and Training: Outlook for 2024 survey asked data center operators about their corporate education budgets and found 39% expect to see an increase in 2024 and a further 47% believe it will remain the same.
The dynamic nature of the digital infrastructure industry requires data center operators to remain up-to-date on industry best practices or they risk falling behind their competitors.
Committing to a technical education plan helps operators to ensure that staff skill sets are current and employees are informed on the latest industry trends. Ongoing education also reduces business risk and helps counterbalance the shortage of new entrants into the industry.
“Keeping staff skill sets up-to-date helps organisations maintain continuous data center operations worldwide,” says Andrew Stevens, CEO of CNet Training. “Regular education to increase the knowledge, skills, and credentials of data center teams is of great importance to today’s mission critical facilities.”
